Mary (Miriam) Magdalene

"You must be willing to feel everything. It is through your feeling nature that the Great Mystery will be revealed to you."

Mary - Miriam - Magdalene
Miriam Ha'Magdalena was her real name

The truth about Mary Magdalene’s life—especially regarding her training under Isis or involvement with sex magick—is not found in canonical historical records but rather in a mix of esoteric traditions, Gnostic scriptures, and modern mystical interpretations.

Let’s break it down:

⚜️ Canonical & Historical Sources:

• The New Testament mentions Mary Magdalene as a follower of Yeshua (Jesus), present at his crucifixion and the first to witness his resurrection. She is not described as a prostitute or as Yeshua’s wife in the Gospels—that came later through conflations.

• There’s no mention in historical Christian texts of her training under Isis or practicing sex magick.

🜂 Gnostic & Esoteric Sources:

Gnostic texts like the Gospel of Mary, Pistis Sophia, and others found in Nag Hammadi present her as Yeshua’s closest disciple, one who receives secret teachings. These suggest deep mystical knowledge, but still no mention of Isis directly.

• However, the Pistis Sophia uses Egyptian cosmology and symbology—this is where threads start to cross.

🜁 Magdalene as Priestess of Isis (Mystical/Occult View):

This narrative emerges not from history, but later mystical lineages, including:

French esoteric traditions (particularly Cathar-linked legends and Rosicrucian/Templar lore)

Modern mystery schools, who posit that Mary Magdalene was a trained priestess in the Isis lineage—carrying forward Egyptian temple rites, sacred sexuality, and womb mysteries.

• In these versions, she is said to have trained either:

• In Alexandria, Egypt—home to the Library and many Isis temples

• Or in Jerusalem, where overlapping traditions may have syncretized Egyptian and Hebrew esoteric knowledge.

These stories may reference her connection to sex magick, but it’s crucial to understand:

• “Sex magick” here does not mean licentiousness, but tantric-style alchemical union, sacred ritual sexuality used to raise consciousness and commune with the divine.

• This concept isn’t from historical sources, but from the Hermetic, Theosophical, and modern Goddess revival movements.

🜄 Location of Magdalene:

• The name “Magdalene” means “of Magdala” (a town on the western shore of the Sea of Galilee).

• Some traditions place her later in Southern France, particularly Sainte-Baume and Rennes-le-Château, where she is said to have lived in a cave teaching mystery school initiates—this is where many of the Isis-priestess stories blossom.

🜃 So what is “the truth”?

Historically: She was a real Jewish woman from Galilee, a follower of Yeshua, mentioned in the Gospels. Nothing is recorded about Isis or sex magick.

Esoterically: She has become a composite archetype: mystic, high priestess, tantric initiate, embodiment of the Divine Feminine. The Isis training narrative comes from this mythopoetic evolution, not historical fact.

🌹In Summary:

• 🕊 Historical Magdalene = Devoted follower of Yeshua from Magdala

• 🌑 Mystical Magdalene = Priestess of the Divine Feminine, trained in sacred sexuality and Isis mysteries (emerging from Gnostic + modern esoteric teachings)

THE TEACHINGS OF MAGDALENE:

Magdalene walked the path of the Dark Feminine, not as something to be feared, but as something to be mastered. She knew the power of magick, the force that weaves creation into form. Her body was not a cage—it was an altar, a vessel for the sacred. But to reclaim this, one must walk through the shadows that seek to distort it.

⚜️ SHADOW QUALITIES:

The Exile of the Feminine, the Silencing of the Healer, the Grief of Misremembering

Erasure & Distortion

Her story was buried beneath patriarchal interpretations—cast as sinner, prostitute, or background figure. This reflects the systemic silencing of feminine power, wisdom, and spiritual authority.

Grief of Separation

She holds the ancient sorrow of being severed from her Beloved (Yeshua), and from the sacred union between masculine and feminine—mirroring the inner schism many carry between heart and mind, body and spirit.

Wounded Compassion

Her deep empathic nature, when unguarded, may lead to martyrdom, over-giving, or absorbing collective pain without alchemizing it. She becomes the unseen healer, drained and unacknowledged.

Persecution of the Wise Woman

As a carrier of the sacred teachings, she embodies the archetype of the witch, the prophetess, the forbidden lover—feared for her knowledge and punished for her power.

✨ LIGHT QUALITIES:

Sacred Service, Compassionate Sovereignty, Keeper of the Rose Flame

Embodied Healing

Magdalene was a vessel for divine healing—through her hands, her presence, her voice. She reminds us that to truly heal is to see with the eyes of the soul, to restore what has been fragmented into wholeness.

Compassion as Alchemy

Her heart was forged in grief, and from it rose a love that could hold death and resurrection at once. She teaches compassion not as fragility, but as fierce devotion to life.

Bearer of the Christed Flame

She continued Yeshua’s teachings not just in word, but in embodiment. Her path was the feminine face of Christ consciousness—one that births divinity through presence, intimacy, and inner gnosis.

Keeper of Hidden Wisdom

Through her exile, she seeded wisdom across lands and lineages. Her light lives in mystery schools, in womb lineages, in rose traditions. She holds the codes of remembrance for those who dare to reclaim the sacredness of the body and the power of the feminine.

Reclaim the sacredness of your body, your love, your desires. Walk through the fire of shame and emerge unveiled, sovereign, and whole.

She invites us to reflect:

❤️ What parts of you have been silenced or cast out—by others, or by yourself?

❤️ Where does your compassion overflow into self-abandonment?

❤️ What sacred knowledge lives in your body, waiting to be remembered?

Drink from the cup of remembrance.

Let the fire of Magdalene burn away the shame, the fear, the distortion.

Step into the temple of your body as a vessel of the Divine.

Emerge, unveiled, as the Sacred Feminine reborn.
